- Ensure people have access to clean water through the implementation of rain water harvesting systems
- Assist with efforts to educate the community on sustainable agricultural techniques and care for the farm at the educational center
- Develop sustainable technology, such as a solar food preservation system, or bio-diesel and wind energy
- Work with a women’s rights organization that ensures women have legal standing in court and the right to own property
- Assist with the construction of a transitional children’s home
- Volunteer in a local hospital and learn about the HIV/AIDS epidemic
